EVS to bring robotics integration and software-defined replay to IBC2026

EVS will present technology for building more flexible live production environments at IBC2026, bringing together infrastructure, production resources and content workflows to show how teams can adapt to changing production needs.

EVS’s T-Motion media production robotics portfolio will make its IBC2026 debut, with systems shown throughout the stand to demonstrate how robotic systems can be integrated into live production workflows and connected with the wider EVS ecosystem.

The showcase will include the PT Series pan-tilt heads, Televator elevating pedestals, TeleGlide floor and ceiling rail systems, and OmniGlide roving platform, in wired and wireless configurations, covering camera movement for both indoor and outdoor productions. Visitors will also see Choreon, EVS’s robotics control platform for orchestrating multi-robot environments through a single operational workflow.

Integration with the Cerebrum broadcast control and orchestration system will show how robotic camera movements can be coordinated with other production resources from a single operational environment. The X-Fly 3D cable cam will also be on the stand, demonstrating its integration with LiveCeption to bring aerial shots into live replay and content creation workflows.

In collaboration with technology partners, EVS will show storytelling approaches including remote-camera teleportation in extended reality (XR), using the company’s ARCAM 6-axis robotic camera arms to bring together people, locations and virtual environments in real time.

Software-defined replay expands the LiveCeption portfolio

EVS will give an initial look at its software-defined replay server at IBC2026, extending its replay technology into a more flexible deployment model designed to complement the existing LiveCeption portfolio and give broadcasters greater choice in how they deploy and scale replay operations.

EVS will also show how LSM-VIA extends beyond traditional replay operations, letting operators control multiple production workflows from a single interface. Deeper integration across the portfolio is intended to let users manage replay, highlights creation, camera robotics and other production tasks from one place.

Other updates across the LiveCeption portfolio include enhancements to XtraMotion, LSM-VIA Zoom with automatic object tracking, and remote production workflows intended to help teams create, manage and deliver live content regardless of location.

In sports officiating, the Xeebra showcase will include AI-powered Deblur, which enhances image clarity to support incident analysis, along with real-time ball and player tracking for assisted offside detection.

Faster workflows from live moments to published stories

VIA MAP, EVS’s media asset platform, will show how live content can move from production into editing, publishing and distribution within a single environment.

The IBC2026 demonstrations will cover cloud, hybrid and on-premises deployments, newsroom workflows with deeper NRCS and MOS integrations, social publishing, and AI-based workflow tools. Integrations with Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve will show how production and post-production teams can work within a single environment covering the content lifecycle, from the initial live moment through to the final story.

For sports organisations, EVS will show Match Moments, an AI-based capability that identifies key moments in live sports content, to help teams turn significant moments into highlights and publish them across channels while they remain relevant.

EVS will also show Move, an integrated ingest, playout and transcoding suite designed to support the journey from live production to audience.

Connecting and scaling infrastructure, resources and workflows

Cerebrum, EVS’s control and orchestration system, is central to the MediaInfra showcase, providing a single operational layer for managing workflows and resources across multi-vendor environments. New tactile operational interfaces and dynamic resource assignment will be demonstrated, allowing resources to be allocated and reallocated as production requirements change.

According to EVS, this is intended to give operators greater flexibility while helping organisations make more efficient use of their infrastructure, supporting what the company describes as a ‘Dynamic Media Facility’, in which resources can adapt to changing production needs.

EVS will also highlight its work on interoperability and open standards, including participation in the AMWA NMOS BCP-008 Minimum Status Reporting demonstrations on the EBU stand (Hall 10 Stand D21). EVS is implementing BCP-008 as part of its endpoint monitoring strategy, allowing Cerebrum to present consistent status information across devices from multiple vendors and giving operators a single view of infrastructure health and operational status.

EVS will also show its Flexible Control Room (FCR) system, which combines Cerebrum orchestration with the Tactiq user interface for control room operations and production management.

EVS will preview the next version of its Neuron software-defined media processing platform, which the company said is designed to deliver four times the processing density of the current generation.
