Exterity IP video system specified by Sportverein Sandhausen 1916

Exterity’s IP video system has been deployed by German football club Sportverein Sandhausen 1916 (SV Sandhausen 1916) to deliver live TV and internal video to displays located in VIP lounges and boxes at its BWT-Stadion am Hardtwald stadium. The result is that corporate guests and VIPs have access to a specially tailored match-day experience.

The Exterity system at BWT-Stadion am Hardtwald consists of: AvediaStream Satellite TV gateway to capture live TV and radio content from satellite sources and stream them across the IP network; AvediaPlayer MediaPlayers, which stream high-quality video to any display; and AvediServer central management platform.

Deployed by systems integrator Multi Media System, the Exterity system provides corporate and VIP guests with welcome messages on screens in the VIP reception area, as well as agendas and full presentations from both internal and external events hosted at the stadium. Additional benefits of the system include the delivery of Fan TV channels to the catering and public areas of the VIP tower, which feature sponsor names and messages, maximising opportunities for revenue generation.

“It’s no secret that sport is big business, and increasingly stadiums are realising that IP video plays a fundamental role in helping them stand out from the competition,” said Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity. ‘”After recently installing a new VIP tower, SV Sandhausen 1916 selected our IP video system to compliment the modern feel of the suites. Our system provides VIP guests with a tailored experience, turning their visit into a day they’ll remember. We’re proud that our IP video solution will help SV Sandhausen deliver a first-class experience to some of its most important guests.”
