Extreme Networks, Netco Sports outline partnership to develop new value chain

Extreme Networks and Netco Sports have announced details of a partnership intended to create a new value chain including installation of the application infrastructure, and delivering incrementally improved experience to sports fans – in stadiums and during sport events.

An application, in order to ensure smooth service quality and good traffic capacity, a reliable Wi-Fi network is vital. Infrastructures built on ‘hotspots’ no longer meet the requirements of a modern stadium. Sport organisations are now looking for a better computing solution, which provides a high-density network with total visibility and control. This allows for a large number of devices to connect and stream rich content consistently at the same time, as well as return reliable statistics needed to identify the most-used devices or platforms in order to create new mobile applications.

Extreme Networks recognises the challenge and therefore brings its expertise in the analysis and implementation of wireless solutions to address the issue.
