Fletcher London providing three NAC Hi-Motion II systems for Champions League Final

The NAC Hi-Motion II ultra-motion camera system is set to play an important role in coverage of the Champions League Final 2013, which takes place at Wembley on 25 May. Fletcher London is providing two Hi-Motion II systems for full match coverage to ITV Sport, the host broadcaster for UEFA (OB facilities to be supplied by NEP Visions). A third system is being supplied to Sky Sports for its unilateral coverage.

With NAC Hi-Motion II’s 3-chip solution and capture speeds of up to 1000fps, the system can be cut-to as live while continuously recording and playing-out to EVS. By dividing the on-board solid state memory into blocks for Football TX, it is possible to handle the run-up, the goal and the celeb individually – thereby allowing extremely quick turn-around of replays.

Haydn Parnell, manager of Fletcher London, comments: “Hi-Motion II has really done us all proud on football and on many other sports and events, including Objective Productions’ The Cube for ITV1, and Reflex, a new BBC1 Show airing later in 2013. The Camera continues to expand our possibilities, and we really look forward to supporting ITV and Sky at Wembley later this month.”
