Football Production Summit: Sky Sports Head of Football confirmed as a keynote speaker
Gary Hughes, Sky Sports’ Head of Football, will be one of the keynote speakers at next month’s SVG Europe Football Production Summit in Paris.
Hughes, who oversees all of Sky’s football output and operates as executive producer, will present and answer questions during ‘A Whole New Ball Game: Innovation in football production at Sky Sports – then, now and next.’
The session will examine the production, presentation and technical innovations that Sky Sports has added to its football coverage over the last 25 years and then, in conversation with SVG Europe Contributing Editor Will Strauss, explore how televised football coverage might develop in the future.
Sky Sports has held live broadcast rights for the English Premier League since its inauguration in the 1992-93 season and this week extended its commitment with a deal up to and including 2021-22. Its portfolio of live rights also includes the Scottish Premier League, the English Football League, the EFL Cup, La Liga and various home nations international matches.
SVG Europe’s Football Production Summit will take place on Wednesday 14 March 2018 at the Stade de France in Paris.
