Football Production Summit: Bruggink and Melger join IP-based Cloud Production panel
Peter Bruggink, Chief Technology Office NEP The Netherlands, and Freelance Television Director Danny Melger, will join moderator Fergal Ringrose for the session ‘Tech Showcase: World’s First IP-Based Cloud Production’ at SVG Europe’s Football Production Summit in Paris on 23 March.
By making use of its Cloud Production Platform and IP connectivity, NEP The Netherlands (formerly Dutchview Infostrada) has blazed a trail to dramatically reduce on-location and in-studio resources across sports and live shows – meaning it’s no longer necessary to dispatch a large OB to a location. While many broadcasters are working on remote production and video over IP, NEP The Netherlands has made the leap to a cloud platform on which resources are available on demand – allowing it to air live multi-camera broadcasts using this technology mix.

Danny Melger is a well-known name in the area of live production, and particularly in sports. He has numerous football matches to his name, and is renowned for his open mind set towards innovation. In 2013 Melger was the youngest TV director ever to do (worldwide) direction of the Europa League Final, at the Amsterdam Arena.
