Football Production Summit: BT Sport’s Hindhaugh joins CL Final presentation

The opening session at SVG Europe’s Football Production Summit on 22 March in Munich will be ‘Europe Prepares for UEFA Champions League Final 2017’. BT Sport’s Chief Operating Officer Jamie Hindhaugh has confirmed he will join UEFA TV Operations Senior Manager Markus Hövel to reveal the broadcasting coverage plan in preparation for Europe’s biggest club football event.

Cardiff’s National Stadium of Wales will be the venue for the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday 3 June. The stadium hosted the FA Cup Final for a six-year spell from 2001 to 2006 with Wembley undergoing development. It will be the 62nd season of Europe’s premier club football tournament organised by UEFA and the 25th season since it was renamed from the European Champions Clubs’ Cup to the UEFA Champions League.

How are UEFA and its broadcast partners preparing for the challenge of staging the 2017 Final, and what kinds of production innovations may be expected across broadcast and digital platforms?
