Football Production Summit session to address next generation audio technologies

Immersive audio, interactive audio, ‘next generation audio’ – the monikers are many, but the message underlying them all is that a new era for broadcast audio production has started to dawn. This brave new world will be the subject of a multi-vendor panel at SVG Europe’s Football Production Summit, taking place at Stade de France, Paris, on 23 March.

With a number of vendors working on new technologies that will make it easier to deliver immersive audio mixes, and broadcasters examining the possibilities for viewers to customise their sound experiences as they see fit, sports audio is set to undergo profound change over the next few years. In this session, some of the leading exponents of these new technologies will consider the impact that they are likely to have on domestic sports viewing and the mechanics of audio production.

Joining moderator and SVG Europe managing editor David Davies will be: Henry Bourne, Calrec, product manager; Rob France, Dolby, senior product marketing manager; Roger Heiniger, HARMAN’s Studer, Vista product manager; and Christian Struck, Lawo, senior product manager audio production.
