Football Summit 2020: Speakers confirmed for ‘Production on a Budget’

SVG Europe is delighted to announce that FC Porto, Gravity Media and Mediahaus Austria will be represented on a ‘Hitting the Target: Football Production on a Budget’ panel discussion at Football Summit in Berlin on 31 March.

Moderated by SVG Europe editorial director Fergal Ringrose, the session will feature Wolfgang Angermüller, Mediahaus, CEO; David Marques, FC Porto, CTO Media Business Unit; and Steve Norris, Gravity Media, director Production and Content.

Hitting the Target: Football Production on a Budget’ is sponsored by TVU Networks.

Not every football match has the production budget of an EPL or Champions League game. But, with advances in media technology and services, and a bit of production ingenuity, that needn’t be a barrier to achieving high production values, increasing the amount of coverage or making sure that lower profile match and league production is affordable.

To illustrate this point, this panel discusses how to put additional value on screen, provides tips on making budgets stretch further and offers up suggestions for adding production polish that attracts, engages and maintains viewers.

Taking place at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on Tuesday 31 March, the 2020 event will take a close look at a range of subjects from augmented reality, video piracy and asset management through to the growth of the Women’s game, eSports and football production on a budget.

As with all SVG Europe events, it will also feature ample networking opportunities, a technology showcase and an optional stadium tour.

Football Summit 2019 in Paris attracted more than 350 senior professionals from across the football production and broadcasting community and featured speakers from FIFA, UEFA, Sky Sports, BT Sport and more.
