Football Summit 2025: BBC Sport, Sky Austria and the Danish League added to speaker line-up for Manchester event
Speakers from BBC Sport, Sky Austria, the Danish League, EBU Eurovision Sport and more have been added to the line-up for Football Summit 2025. The full-day event, sponsored by EVS, is taking place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Thursday 20 March.
In ‘Access all areas: Where next for specialist cameras?’ speakers including Emil Drexler, Sky Austria, Head of Sports Operations; Jon Hurndall, Batcam, CEO; and Paul Munday, ACS (EMG/Gravity Media), Specialist Camera Technician, will discuss what works and what doesn’t when it comes to specialist cameras, where else they could be placed and how best to work with clubs, stadiums, leagues and federations to make it happen.
‘Fair Game: UEFA Women’s Euros 2025’, will see BBC Sport Executive Producer Phil Bigwood chat about how the corporation and its production partner will cover the tournament, while Stefan-Eric Wildemann, EBU Eurovision Sport, Head of Football, (pictured), will outline the role of Eurovision Sport, the new free-to-air streaming platform, which will be providing additional output of the tournament in Switzerland.
Also on the bill, two heads of business development, Esben Halding from the Danish League, and Max Andersen of DMC Production, will explore the origins and development of Matchday Production, the in-house host broadcaster launched in 2024-25 for the Danish Superliga.
The day will also feature a dedicated strand of Production Workshops covering Cost-Effective Production, Sustainable Production and Match Directing, with LaLiga lead director Òscar Lago Domínguez taking part in the latter.
