Football Summit 2026: FIFA, HBS, Sky Sports and The FA join speaker line up

The first speakers have been confirmed for Football Summit 2026, taking place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on 26 February.

During an exclusive preview of the FIFA World Cup, Oscar Sanchez, FIFA head of host broadcast production, and Paul King, HBS senior producer, FIFA World Cup 2026, will share insights on production strategies, deploying cutting-edge workflows and innovations, the thinking behind the IBC, and how the team plans to overcome logistical and technical challenges on the biggest men’s World Cup ever.

In addition, executive producer and head of production Alison Lombardi from FilmNova, will take delegates inside the production plan for the Women’s FA Cup, revealing how the team is shaping a fresh, fan-first approach to storytelling, presentation and live coverage.

Later in the day, Marcin Serafin, Ekstraklasa Live Park chief operating officer, will explore how the Ekstraklasa league in Poland uses data and AI tools across broadcast, digital and fantasy platforms to power social graphics, chart YouTube growth, and unlock new sponsor-inventory via predictive metrics like live win probability.

In addition to the main conference programme, a series of workshops will run throughout the day.

First up, ‘SVGE Women – Developing female leaders in sports broadcasting’ will feature Lowri Davies, Premier League Productions director of broadcast services; Nia Wyn Thomas, Sky Sports, football senior producer and FilmNova’s Alison Lombardi.

This is followed by ‘MAM – Getting more from your football content’ with Damien Cullen, The FA, senior content operations manager; Shane Warden, Monks, VP of sports and media transformation; and James Scott, Vizrt, senior product manager, MAM Business Unit.

The final workshop is a Camera and Steadicam Masterclass which will explore the craft of camera and steadicam operation in live football production, highlighting the technical, emotional, physical, and creative demands of the role.
