Three workshops will take place during Football Summit 2026, focusing on female leaders, MAM, and camera and steadicam operation.
First up, SVGE Women – Developing female leaders in sports broadcasting will feature Lowri Davies, Premier League Productions director of broadcaster services; Nia Wyn Thomas, Sky Sports senior football producer; and Chloe Walton from The Connected Leaders. They will explore leadership pathways in sports broadcasting and equip participants with the skills to grow into senior roles, offering attendees insight into key technical skills and how to lead effectively in high-pressure live environments.
Later in the day, MAM – Getting more from your football content will share practical tips, tools, and strategies for maximising MAM in sports production. Covering archive, live, and near-live scenarios, it will offer actionable guidance and open discussion on real-world challenges and solutions. The FA’s Damien Cullen and Shane Warden of Monks are among the speakers here.
The final workshop is a Camera and Steadicam Masterclass that will explore the craft of camera and steadicam operation in live football production, highlighting the technical, emotional, physical, and creative demands of the role. Attendees will learn how operators capture dynamic, unscripted moments, prepare for challenging conditions, and work seamlessly with directors and crews. The session will also examine evolving tools and techniques, including cinematic cameras and lenses, AI and automation, robotic systems, and more.
