Former Imagine CEO Vogt joins ATX Networks

ATX Networks has appointed former Imagine Communications chief executive Charlie Vogt as its new CEO, replacing Ken Wildgoose who has taken up a position on the company’s board.

Vogt stepped down from his role at Imagine in November 2017 after five years at the helm, becoming a senior advisor at Imagine’s owner The Gores Group.

ATX is a network infrastructure systems and commercial video technology company.

Discussing his new appointment, Vogt said: “I have spent most of my career championing disruptive and innovative change by ushering in new business models and competitive solutions for communication service providers and media companies. The cable, satellite and telecommunications industries are undergoing transformative change as the world embraces new advanced technologies to deliver services cheaper, faster and better than before.”

Wildgoose, who had been chief executive of ATX for the past 18 years, said of his successor: “His passion and expertise in conjunction with the company’s talented team and exciting new initiatives in the cable HFC access network and commercial video gateway markets positions ATX for an exciting and promising next chapter.”

In a 30-year career, Vogt has also worked for Genband, Tekelec, Calix Networks, Lucent (Alcatel) and others.
