Fox Sports signs landmark Australian UHD cricket deal with AE

AE Graphics has announced a long-term agreement with Fox Sports to be its official graphics and data supplier for all matches in a landmark deal with Cricket Australia, all of which will be shown in UHD.

The broadcast rights holders of Australian cricket have changed hands with Fox Sports securing the rights to exclusively show all home international one-day and Twenty20 matches.

Fox will also share the rights of the Big Bash League with Seven, with 43 of the 59 matches being simulcast between the two broadcasters. Fox also has exclusive rights to the remaining 16 fixtures.

After securing this contract AE’s chief commercial officer Stuart Coles commented, “AE worked with Fox Sports on its coverage of Big Bash during the tournament’s infancy and we’re delighted to be renewing the partnership. We are excited at Fox’s plans for its coverage and at the prospect of bringing our global experience of UHD delivery to the party.”
