FutureSport 2013: de Marchis, Schut confirmed as panellists

Deltatre chief product officer and group director Carlo de Marchis, Axon CTO Peter Schut and Vizrt VP sports EMEA Dr. Julia Vogel Wenzin are among the latest speakers to have confirmed their participation in the next instalment of SVG’s increasingly high profile broadcast technology summit events.

Nevion VP of engineering Andy Rayner, Elemental Technologies VP sales EMEA John Nemeth, PION CTO Michael Jonsson and Canon Europe director of sales broadcast products Paul Vickerage are also scheduled to appear at FutureSport 2013, which will take place on 3 December at one of London’s most celebrated sporting venues, The Kia Oval.

The technology involved might be complex, but the concept for the day is alluringly simple: namely, to help sports production executives at all levels understand and explore some of the core concepts that are shaping the long-term revenue opportunities pertaining to sports content creation and distribution.

Panel sessions will focus on topics including the future of OB design, big data delivery and 4K production technology. In addition, exhibits will provide a peak at some new production techniques, while the day will incorporate plenty of time for networking.

Other panellists confirmed to participate include: Dr. Hans Hoffmann, head of production technology, EBU; Josh Stinehour, managing director, Silverwood Partners; Carlo de Marchis, chief product officer and group director, Deltatre; Richard Craig-McFeely, global business development diretor for media services, Tata Communications; Laurent Petit, market solutions manager OB & live production, EVS; John Nemeth, VP sales EMEA, Elemental Technologies; and Mark Grinyer, head of business development sports, Sony.

More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks. To register an interest in attending, and for more details, please visit: https://www.svgeurope.org/future-sport-2013/conference-program/.
