FutureSport 2014: What does 2015 have in store for European sports broadcasting?

Moderated by Sports Video Group Editorial Director Ken Kerschbaumer, the final session at FutureSport in Lord’s Cricket Ground on 2 December will feature Presteigne Director of Operations Alan Bright, Riot Games Technical Producer Colin Cradock and IMG Media SVP Global Director of Engineering & Technology David Shield.

With the World Cup, the Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games, to name just three, 2014 has been nirvana for sports fans. Next year might not be able to provide quite such an abundance of riches, but with the Cricket World Cup, Rugby World Cup and Skiing World Championships – alongside all the usual annual football, golf and cricket tournaments – there will still be more than enough to entertain the European viewer.

SVG Europe caps its last summit of 2014 by inviting these well-placed panellists to look ahead to the most anticipated events of 2015 and nominate a few of the technological developments that are likely to shape their broadcast coverage.
