FutureSport 2016: all speakers confirmed for BT Sport IP production innovation case study

The complete speaker line-up for the final session at SVG Europe’s FutureSport on November 30 has been announced. Mark Davies, Grass Valley Sales Engineering Manager EMEA, and Peter Love, Arena Television Director of Operations, join Andy Beale and Jamie Hindhaugh from BT Sport along with Dolby Senior Product Marketing Manger Rob France and Lawo VSM Senior Product Manager Axel Kern plus moderator Will Strauss to discuss BT Sport’s innovations this season on football and rugby coverage.

Outside broadcast firm Arena TV successfully delivered simulcast UHD and HD coverage using its new IP-centric truck for BT Sport. Arena’s IP OBX truck has a Grass Valley workflow with a Cisco switch and Lawo VSM control. BT Sport also collaborated with Dolby on the Liverpool v Leicester City Premier League game in September, another first-ever innovation in immersive audio production and delivery with Dolby Atmos from the OBX truck.
