SVG Europe is on track to welcome a record audience of over 250 senior European broadcast operations professionals to FutureSport at Chelsea FC in London on November 30. Book your place now as we confirm a case study session with BT Sport and partners, ‘First IP-based Unified UHD/HD OB Productions with Dolby Atmos’.

We are delighted to confirm that joining moderator Will Strauss on stage will be both Chief Engineer Andy Beale and COO Jamie Hindhaugh from BT Sport, along with Dolby Senior Product Marketing Manager Rob France and Lawo VSM Senior Product Manager Axel Kern. We are awaiting further speaker confirmations from Arena Television and Grass Valley for this session.

BT Sport introduced a series of firsts across its early-season AVIVA Premership rugby and Barclays Premier League football coverage. Outside broadcast firm Arena TV successfully delivered simulcast UHD and HD coverage using its new IP-centric truck. Arena’s IP OBX truck, built with systems integrator Videlio, has a Grass Valley workflow with a Cisco switch and Lawo VSM control. BT Sport also collaborated with Dolby on the Liverpool v Leicester City Premier League game, another first-ever innovation in immersive audio production and delivery with Dolby Atmos from the OBX truck.
