FutureSport 2016 session to examine OTT’s role in fuelling sports content creation

Chelsea FC Pitch View East

The Chelsea Football Club ground.

SVG Europe’s final summit of this year will take place at Chelsea Football Club, London, on 30 November, and included on the programme will be a far-reaching session looking at the OTT market and its huge potential to transform and enhance the creation of sports content.

The OTT market is growing rapidly, driven by people’s hunger to watch their favourite shows, anytime, anywhere, on any device. Until recently, the time lag involved with OTT content delivery had prevented its widespread use for live sports events. In this session we will discuss how media companies can deliver and broadcast live OTT content in sync, anywhere in the world, and how they can help harness live events for additional revenues – as people’s evolving content consumption habits continue to disrupt the industry.

Confirmed speakers include: Carlo De Marchis, deltatre, Chief Product and Marketing Officer; Andrea Di Muzio, Director of Professional Services – EMEA at Aspera, an IBM Company; Dave Gill, SIS, Streaming Product Owner; John Smith, MediaLinks EMEA, Managing Director; and Chris Wagner, NeuLion, EVP & Co-Founder. The session will be moderated by SVG Europe Managing Editor David Davies.
