Gearhouse Broadcast owner Gravity Media Group acquires ACTIS HF
Gravity Media Group, owner of worldwide broadcast services specialist Gearhouse Broadcast, has announced the acquisition of ACTIS HF, a French radio frequency (RF) transmission specialist. ACTIS will remain at its Paris base and form the foundation for the development of a broader broadcast rental, sales and systems integration offering to French and French speaking customers, taking the name Gearhouse Actis.
GMG will provide significant investment in Gearhouse Actis to enable it to achieve its ambitions within France and worldwide including support for the existing management team and a much larger inventory of broadcast and RF equipment. GMG will use its international reach to gain new RF opportunities for Gearhouse Actis within the group.
Founded in 1991, ACTIS has delivered high-end wireless transmission systems for leading broadcast and security customers including BBC, Canal+, Eurosport, GlobeCast, TF1, France24 and the French Ministry of Foreign affairs. Its major credits include the French Open tennis, French elections, the investitures of President François Hollande and President Vladimir Putin, the Istanbul Marathon, F1 H2O World Championship powerboat racing, the finish of the Vendee Globe 2013 and Euro 2012.
