Glensound sees SVG Europe as a key platform as it becomes a Bronze sponsor

Glensound, a UK designer and manufacturer of audio products for broadcast, is now a Bronze sponsor of SVG Europe.

The company, which has been serving the broadcast world since 1966, is known for its innovative nature and solution-focused approach. Its product range includes Dante/AES67 systems for intercom, audio interfacing and network bridging, network PoE speakers, a range of sports commentary units from stand alone to multi-stadium network systems and network remote control mic amps.

Marc Wilson, managing director at Glensound, said: “We are delighted to further share our news with the broadcasters involved in sports production. Over the past 55 years, Glensound has always been firmly based in the world of sport, with many technical developments all being within the sport arena.

“At Glensound we have so many new technical developments coming through all the time. We are also involved in multiple sporting events, both at a smaller, national level, but also at the major worldwide event level too. Traditionally we don’t shout about our projects – we are not always able! – but we wanted a key platform where we could share our developments and latest project news to let the rest of the sports production community know just how involved Glensound is in so many varied sports and projects.”

Glensound’s technical highlights include the Divine PoE speaker, the world’s first multi-channel monitor speaker with built in interrupt, remote control and grouping function, and the Inferno, the first single user, remote controllable, Dante/AES67 commentary box with multiple monitoring and talkback features.

Wilson added: “Glensound will also welcome taking part in discussions with industry figures to share our approaches and ideas, and learn from others. We look forward to being able to do this in person again!”
