Job of the Week: Communications Director – Rugby, Fast Track

Every week and SVG Europe join forces to bring you details of a new, much sought-after employment opportunity in sports broadcast and related disciplines. This week’s role is a nine-month contract (to run from April to December 2015) at the London offices of Fast Track, the global sports and entertainment agency that aims to create deeper connections between brands, sponsors, governing bodies and their audiences.

The Rugby World Cup 2015 is the biggest sporting event this year and Fast Track is seeking an experienced account manager to play a pivotal role within the Fast Track Land Rover team to deliver Land Rover’s RWC campaign.

As the only British-based Worldwide Partner (out of six) and Official Vehicle of the Tournament, Land Rover has a fantastic opportunity to maximise its rights in the host market at the world’s third largest sporting events.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include: rights delivery management; approvals management; working within a large global-focused team (in partnership with the Land Rover UK Fast Track team), supporting the AM and AD; client-liaison, management and relationships; other stakeholder management (e.g. England Rugby 2015/IMG/World Rugby/other Land Rover agencies); supporting Land Rover Global’s ambassador programme; on-ground activation operations and logistics, working closely with the UK team to include stadia & fanzone, hospitality, trophy tour and mascot programme; merchandise development and management; budget management; and tournament time operational support.
