World Rugby is the world governing and law-making body for the sport of Rugby Union. In addition to its governance functions, World Rugby organises a number of international tournaments and events including the Rugby World Cup, Women’s Rugby World Cup, and the annual HSBC Rugby Sevens World Series and Women’s Sevens World Series Competitions.

As part of its strategy to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of international rugby, World Rugby wishes to appoint a competitions operations manager.

Reporting to the general manager competitions, the position will be responsible for the project management and operational delivery of competitions organised and funded by World Rugby. The role will be primarily focused on the delivery of major Sevens competitions, in particular the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Responsibilities will encompass multiple areas, including project management, tournament operations, document management, tender process management, and budget, reporting and administration.
