Job of the Week: Director – Strategy & Research, Eurosport

Every week SVG Europe and join forces to bring you details of a new, much sought-after employment opportunity in sports broadcasting and related disciplines. This week’s role is director of strategy & research at Eurosport and is based in Paris.

The director will work with the COO to drive research and insight in the assessment of the business and new opportunities which enhance the value of the organic business. They will also work with the Eurosport senior management team to provide research and insight which help to identify or progress any business development opportunities.

Managing a small team, this role is responsible for producing regular reports, project-based insight and ad-hoc research, to support strategic decision making and implementation within the Eurosport business.

The team is responsible for reporting, business insight pan-regional, commercial research. Of particular interest is changing consumption patterns and the shift toward non-linear and multi-platform consumption. They are also responsible for providing consumer insight that will support the long-range plans of the business to ultimately give a competitive edge and drive growth.

The director also will play a key role in the development of strategic sports-related projects at a global, regional or local level, and will be the point of contact and will partner with the Global research community.
