Every week SVG Europe and GlobalSportsJobs.com join forces to bring you details of a new, much sought-after employment opportunity in sports broadcasting and related disciplines. This week’s role is a full-time position as research assistant for sports intelligence at Kantar Media.

The Sport Research team at Kantar Media designs and conducts research for owners of sporting properties (federations, teams, and competitions), brands engaged in sponsorship and sports media owners, involved in the delivery of sports content. Clients include the IOC, UEFA, Wimbledon, Manchester United, 6 Nations, Football League, The FA, Formula One Management, BSkyB, Aviva, Betfair, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Barclays, Infiniti, Capital One, British and Irish Lions, and the R&A.

In this role the successful candidate will be trained to assist the Head of Media Research and Account Manager in supporting the delivery of a global media monitoring project (TV & Online) for a single global football client and their two associated agencies. They will work as part of a global team of 30 people spread across a number of geographic locations. The main responsibilities will involve liaison and administration of process with other locations and some media monitoring tasks during match-specific periods.

In addition, some internet research of television schedules and quality control will be a part of the role.
