Every week SVG Europe and GlobalSportsJobs.com join forces to bring you details of a new, much sought-after employment opportunity in sports broadcasting and related disciplines. This week’s role is a full-time position as senior product manager for Sky Sports and Sky Movies, based in London.

The senior product manager is one of two lead roles tasked with enhancing the Sky Sports and Sky Movies product portfolio, and delivering customer insights and strategies that inform wider trade marketing and brand plans.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring the overall customer proposition is fit for purpose, inclusive of content, features and functionality. They’ll conduct research projects that will include understanding the relationship between usage of Sky Movies and Sky Sport products and retention of premium product subscribers. They will also formulate and implement strategies to improve usage of key products that drive retention.

The team has been responsible for relaunching the Sky Sports Video on Demand area on the set top box, defining the content strategy and user experience. They’ve identified an opportunity to launch new channel propositions such as Sky Sports 5, and also identified and launched new revenue generating products in addition to the Sky Movies subscription.
