Grass Valley solution for Russia’s TTC Ostankino

TV Technical Center Ostankino is continuing its SD to HD upgrade with equipment provided by Grass Valley. In 2012, Grass Valley equipped the broadcaster with 24 LDK 8000 Elite 3G Transmission triax camera systems, 14 LDX Flex cameras and four Karrera Video Production Centers for TTC Ostankino to kick-start its migration to HD.

In 2013, Grass Valley added 36 LDX Flex cameras to the project and installed three Karrera Video Production Centers with K-Frame. The upgrade, which will be complete by the end of 2014, will include the installation of 26 more LDX Flex camera systems and four more Karrera Video Production Centers. T

The resulting installation will allow TTC Ostankino to produce superior HD programming in all 13 of its studios in Moscow, Russia.

“As we continue to migrate our TV studios from SD to HD, it was an easy choice to select Grass Valley to continue to make our upgrade successful and stress free,” says Mikhail Shubin, CEO, TTC Ostankino. “We have been working together for many years and Grass Valley has an outstanding reputation across the Russian Federation.”

Alexander Bogatkin, managing director of Russia and CIS, Grass Valley, adds: “Russia is an important market for Grass Valley and our continued work across the region is a reflection of how the market is growing. Over the years we have provided TTC Ostankino with many of our solutions and we are so pleased that they continue to use our products. Our local office and support teams are dedicated to ensuring that TTC Ostankino continues to meet the ever-changing needs of the broadcast landscape and produce top-quality HD content in its studios.”
