Grup Mediapro will air, exclusively on pay-TV, the entire 2026 FIFA World Cup, following an agreement with RTVE for the acquisition of media rights to the tournament. To ensure fans don’t miss a single moment of the tournament, Grup Mediapro will launch a 24/7 channel dedicated to the tournament, offering the most complete coverage across the GolStadium platform, which will be made available to pay-TV operators.
The new channel will air all 104 World Cup matches, 71 of them exclusively – a model similar to that successfully implemented during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with Gol Mundial. With this move, Grup Mediapro is reshaping how fans experience football, delivering top-quality programming and making the World Cup more accessible than ever.
The FIFA World Cup 26 introduces changes designed gto heighten its global appeal. It will be the longest tournament in history, with 48 national teams from five continents – compared with 32 in previous editions – competing across three host nations: the United States, Canada and Mexico. From 11 June to 19 July 2026, matches will be played in 11 US cities, three in Mexico, and two in Canada, totalling 104 matches – 40 more than Qatar 2022.
