Haivision joins SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor
Haivision, a leading global provider of mission-critical, real-time video networking and visual collaboration solutions, has joined SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor.
“We’re very excited to join the SVG Europe family. As the leader in live video contribution over any network, Haivision has been working very closely with sports organisations and broadcasters globally to help power live production workflows for some of the biggest sporting events,” said Marcus Schioler, vice president of marketing, Haivision. “At Haivision, we strive to work closely with our customers and partners to deliver never-before-seen live video experiences to audiences worldwide, and we want to tell this story to the community of European broadcasters through SVG Europe.”
Haivision’s mobile video contribution technology was recently used by Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) for live coverage of the Games in Paris. For the Opening ceremony, which took place along and on the River Seine, OBS deployed over 200 Samsung S24 Ultra smartphones equipped with Haivision MoJoPro mobile camera apps.
The high dynamic range live HD video feeds from MoJoPro were transmitted to Haivision StreamHub receivers using a private 5G network, which was setup with 12 5G cells mounted on the historic bridges that traverse the river. The StreamHub software provided multiview monitoring and control for incoming mobile camera feeds.
MoJoPro was also used for the Marseille sailing competition, with the world’s first sea-based private 5G network created to reliably transmit video from rapidly moving boats. In addition Haivision Pro 460 transmitters were used by France Télévisions to provide engaging behind-the-scenes video from the surfing competition in Tahiti and to capture live video from events including gymnastics and athletics in the Stade de France and Bercy Arena.
Haivision also invented the SRT low latency video streaming protocol and founded the SRT Alliance to support its adoption.
