HBS and Tata Communications team up to deliver World Athletics events
Host Broadcast Services (HBS) is partnering with Tata Communications and World Athletics as the host broadcast partner for events between 2025 and 2029.
HBS will provide overall project management and broadcast expertise for World Athletics, with the partnership to include traditional and social media content creation, signal distribution, broadcast sites and venue management, unilateral services and rights holder relations.
HBS said that Tata recognises its position as “the industry leader in delivering large high profile sporting events which makes the collaboration of both companies an ideal partnership to deliver World Athletics to a global audience”.
The cycle will include three editions of the World Athletics Championships, starting in Tokyo, Japan, in 2025, as well as three editions of the World Indoor Championships, commencing in Nanjing, China, in 2025 and also includes the inaugural Ultimate Championships in Budapest in 2026.

Key objectives for the coming years are to drive innovation and engagement with audiences, delivering world-class TV production and maximum value to the Rights Holding Broadcasters.
