Hitomi Broadcast has renewed its Bronze sponsorship of SVG Europe once again. The UK-based company is a manufacturer of professional broadcast equipment, specialising in measuring lip-sync and timing delays associated with television production. Its easy-to-use tools designed specifically for live production workflows save time as well as providing reassurance and proof of quality.

Launched at NAB earlier this year, Hitomi’s new MatchBox Latency feature measures the delay between an event happening in real life and seeing it in picture – latency. Taken either from the front of multiple cameras or at various points through the broadcast chain, readings are displayed in real time with milli-second accuracy. MatchBox Latency further strengthens Hitomi’s applications for remote and virtual productions.

Hitomi Broadcast director, Russell Johnson, said: “Membership of SVG Europe continues to offer some of the most productive networking opportunities with key influencers and specialists in the live production environment. Attendance of SVG events is an excellent way for us to understand and forecast industry trends.”

“These opportunities not only generate sales leads for us,” he continued, “but also give us valuable insight from users that shapes the direction of our product development efforts, ensuring that we continue to offer solutions tailored to the needs of sports broadcasting.”
