IABM and SVG Europe announce joint digital sports webcast
IABM is partnering with Sports Video Group Europe to produce a live 60-minute industry webcast exploring ‘How the Coronavirus is Affecting the Media Industry – A View from the World of Sport’.
IABM and SVG Europe have joined forces to provide you with a virtual event packed with up to date business intelligence and experts from broadcasters and vendors to respond to the thirst for knowledge and experience regarding the impact of COVID-19 in the sports media industry. The event will take place on Thursday 30 April from 17.00-18.00 UK time (18.00-19.00 CET) and will be available to all IABM Members, SVG Europe members and sponsors via the Zoom video conferencing platform. The event will be streamed live and then available on demand on both IABM and SVG Europe websites.
The webcast will feature two panels produced by the SVG Europe editorial team, one featuring broadcasters and outside broadcast partners and one featuring leading industry vendors. The panels will be moderated by SVG Europe Editorial Director Fergal Ringrose; speakers will be announced shortly.
IABM Head of Insight & Analysis Lorenzo Zanni will deliver a 15-minute business intelligence update during the event. Powered by IABM’s data-driven insights on the business of media technology, this session will explore the impact of Coronavirus on media technology investment with a special focus on how sports is adapting to these unprecedented times.
SVG Europe Editorial Director Fergal Ringrose commented: “We are delighted to be working with IABM to help deliver real insight for the sports production community on the current situation and the way forward to a restart of live sports broadcast production.”
“It is great to see our two organisations once again working in tandem to the benefit of the whole industry,” added Peter White, IABM CEO. “Like SVG, IABM is committed to helping its members navigate these difficult times; we are stronger together.”
