IABM, NAB label Bridge Technologies a ‘game changer’

The IABM (International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) have included Bridge Technologies among the five recipients of its Game-Changer Awards, presented at this year’s NAB show. The award is given in recognition of solutions that ‘transform accepted rules, processes and strategies, and which typically lead a movement of related businesses in the same direction.’

This year’s winners are Bridge Technologies for PocketProbe, Masstech for Emerald for News, TC Electronic for LoudnessRadar, isovideo for Viarte, and Emmis for TagStation.

Based in Oslo, Norway, Bridge Technologies designs and develops advanced analysis, measurement, and monitoring solutions for the digital media industries.

“The NAB Show always provides an exciting glimpse into future possibilities for the broadcast industry’s growth and development,” says IABM director general Peter White. “The five products honoured today with Game Changer Awards are an exceptional sampling from this year’s exhibition, demonstrating both an awareness of the challenges that face broadcasters today and the opportunities that tomorrow brings.”

Accepting the award for Bridge Technologies, chairman Simen Frostad remarks: “It’s particularly pleasing to be considered a game-changer because that implies thinking outside the box, taking a fresh look at a problem and finding a better solution – being smart and creative, in short. And we definitely have a lot of smart, creative people working at Bridge.”
