IBC 2019: XD Motion to demonstrate latest version of software from AR Plus acquisition in Amsterdam

XD Motion is set to demonstrate the latest version of AR Plus’ Arcam system software in Amsterdam. XD Motion acquired AR Plus six months ago, after seeing the potential of the company’s Arcam six axis motion control robotic arm system at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

AR Plus designs AR robotics arms using specific motion control software. XD Motion’s engineers are increasing the value of AR Plus products by adding this new software version, iOBot, which enables the control of multi PTZ and remote heads and tracks.

Commented XD Motion CEO, Benoit Dentan: “After using the system in Rio 2016 for France TV commentators, we understood the potential to push the system on sports and News TV 24/7.

“So we decided to purchase the equipment and software and [over the last] six months we [have been] developing the latest version of the software, iOBot, which we will demonstrate at IBC.”

Dentan added: “At this stage many French TV broadcasters are equipped with the system, including TF1, Canal +, France TV, etc, and we just installed it this month with Virgin Media in Ireland and TV3 in Chilli.”

Dentan and his team will also be introducing the AR/4K X fly 3D cablecam system, the last updates on Ultra-Light GSS/Cineflex 12’ 4K, X fly 1D Mini, ARcam/Iobot robotic arm, Tethered Drone and Mini Russian Arm Electric at the show on stand 12.E56.
