Speakers from Formula 1, the Premier League and DAZN will be among the speakers taking to the Future Tech Stage at this year’s IBC. Future Tech is a new area in hall 14 which will focus on advances in AI, virtual production, sustainable workflows, immersive experiences, and new industry talent.
Companies exhibiting in the Future Tech area include Microsoft, Google, AWS, Mo-Sys, 3Play, CaptionHub, Deepdub, Files.com, Monks, Tata Communications, Veritone, and Ultra HD Forum.
It will also feature a stage with free-to-attend panels and presentations.
On 12 Sept 11.45-12.15, Simon Crownshaw, Microsoft Worldwide Director of Media & Entertainment, and Alex Willis (pictured), Premier League Director of Digital Media and Audience Development will take part in the ‘Behind the Partnership: How Microsoft & The Premier League are Personalizing the Fan Experience’ panel.

They will speak about how Microsoft and the Premier League are going “beyond the game” with the Premier League Companion app, powered by Microsoft Copilot, to deliver a “tailored and engaging experience for football fans around the world”.
Later that day, also on the Future Tech stage, at 13.45 will be the ‘Pushing the Limits: AI Innovation in Live Sports with Formula 1’.
In this session, attendees will learn how Formula One built its new streaming service using AWS Media Services. F1 TV Premium allows fans to immerse themselves in the F1 weekend with a host of features including the ability to watch races and practice sessions live in 4K Ultra HD/HDR on up to six devices simultaneously.
Attendees will also be able to learn about the new Multiview feature which allows fans to watch all their favourite elements of the broadcast – including the F1 live feed and onboard cameras

Also on 12 September, a free-to-attend Future Tech session will take place at the IBC Showcase Theatre in hall 8 from 13.00-13.45.
Titled ‘Unlocking Global Scale: How DAZN & Google Ad Manager Elevated Live Sports Advertising’, DAZN and Google will speak about how their partnership drove a record number of ad-supported viewers during DAZN’s exclusive global broadcasting of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
Moderated by Rebecca Hopkins, CEO – Sports Technology Awards, speakers will include Jatin Dev – Google and Sandeep Tiku, CTO – DAZN Group.
They will speak about the strategic shift towards programmatic monetisation for live sports, the technical innovations that ensured a “seamless” user experience, and the collaborative effort required to manage massive viewership spikes.
