Registration has opened for IBC2026, which will take place at the RAI Amsterdam from 11-14 September 2026, bringing together companies from the global media, entertainment and technology sectors.
The event is expected to host exhibitors, speakers and attendees from more than 170 countries. Organisers said the exhibition and conference programme would focus on developments including AI, cloud-native workflows, content provenance, cyber security, immersive experiences, private 5G, sustainability and next-generation production tools.
Michael Crimp, chief executive officer of IBC, said the event comes at a significant time for the industry.
“IBC2026 comes at a defining moment for the global media and entertainment industry,” he said. “In a market where companies are placing greater emphasis on meaningful engagement and real business value, IBC provides a truly international meeting point where ideas move forward, partnerships take shape and innovation is put into practice – creating moments that matter for the industry.”
The IBC2026 Conference will include sessions examining AI-driven creativity, audience behaviour, commercial models and trust in media. The event will also host the IBC Technical Papers Programme, featuring peer-reviewed research focused on industry challenges.
Future Tech, located in Hall 14, will expand by 30% compared with 2025, according to IBC, with bookings increasing year on year. The area will include emerging technologies, start-ups, scale-ups, talent initiatives and collaborative innovation projects.
New additions to Future Tech include a Start-Up Zone featuring 30–40 companies, alongside an expanded skills and development programme incorporating the IBC Talent Programme, Hackfest and creator initiatives.
IBC2026 will also introduce two new initiatives intended to support collaboration and business engagement. IBC Exchange will host structured peer-led discussions in the Braindate Lounge within Future Tech, while IBC Connect will provide a curated meetings programme linking exhibitors with senior decision-makers.
Future Tech will again host the IBC Accelerator Media Innovation Programme, which brings together broadcasters, streaming companies, technology providers and research partners to work on industry innovation projects. Google will return as headline sponsor of the programme, while EIT Culture & Creativity will participate as innovation partner for 2026.
Google will also exhibit in the Content Everywhere section in Hall 5. According to IBC, bookings for Content Everywhere, which focuses on technologies supporting multi-platform and multi-device content delivery, are significantly higher year on year.
Other companies expanding their presence at the event include Avid, EVS, MediaKind, NEP, Prime Focus, Riedel, TVU Networks and Vizrt.
Meanwhile, Barco, Leica, Muybridge and Rakuten are among more than 50 companies exhibiting at IBC for the first time.
IBC said the exhibition is on track to feature at least 44,000 square metres of exhibitor space, with 42,000 square metres already booked.
