ICC TV and Sunset+Vine crack on with host broadcast production of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia
ICC TV and Sunset+Vine, who have worked together on International Cricket Council (ICC) events since 2016, are collaborating again to deliver the host broadcast of the Men’s T20 World Cup which started on 16 October in Australia.
During the four-week tournament, Sunset+Vine, as part of ICC TV, will help produce live coverage of all 45 matches involving 16 nations and a one-hour highlights programme for every match.
With a 28-strong commentary team of the world’s leading cricket experts, 506 crew, four OB units provided by NEP, graphics from AE Live, Cricviz, Hawk-Eye and Quidich providing player tracking, this will be one of the largest cricket broadcast operations ever held in Australia.
It is the first time the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has been held down under and seven stadiums across the country will host the games, from Hobart to Adelaide, from Perth to the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where the final will be staged in front of 100,000 fans on 13 November.
This host broadcast is the latest in a series of major productions for Sunset+Vine after a super summer of sport, including the host broadcast of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games and coverage of the UEFA Women’s Euros football tournament.
Jeff Foulser, chairman at Sunset+Vine, commented: “We are really proud of our partnership with the ICC and looking forward to our coverage being enjoyed by millions of cricket fans around the world.”
