IMG secures rights to broadcast FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on Sport 24 through DAZN sublicencing deal

IMG has secured the rights to broadcast the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 to the inflight and cruise markets, in a deal negotiated with DAZN. The sublicence agreement grants IMG the live rights to broadcast more than 55 matches and 115+ hours of coverage from the tournament on the Sport 24 channels globally.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will feature 32 teams, with games hosted across 12 iconic venues in the United States. The tournament has confirmed some of the world’s biggest teams to compete, including Chelsea FC, Manchester City, Real Madrid CF, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, FC Bayern Munich, Flamengo, Inter Miami and Al Hilal. It will be broadcast globally and for free across DAZN.com.

The addition of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 follows the huge success of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 on Sport 24. The former saw 172 live hours broadcast on Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra with over 1.4 million passengers tuning in to watch inflight.

Richard Wise, SVP Content and Channels, at IMG said: “Sport 24 is all about a global offering for global passengers and the FIFA Club World Cup is bringing together the biggest and most successful clubs in world football, on a global stage for the first time. We’re delighted to partner with DAZN to make extensive live coverage of the tournament available to our international airlines and cruise lines partners, so that passengers never have to miss a moment of the action.”
