Infostrada Sports to produce UEFA Europa League Final coverage
Leading full service sports and media company Infostrada Sports is to produce the UEFA Europa League final on behalf of RTL Netherlands and UEFA. The eagerly-awaited match – to feature Benfica and Chelsea – will take place on Wednesday 15 May.
In addition to facilitating host broadcasting (comprised of three different video feeds) distributed globally, Infostrada Sports will also produce a studio programme for the Dutch broadcaster of the final, RTL 7, and deliver Stadium TV. Infostrada Sports has chosen United as the technical supplier, a Dutch company with extensive experience in delivering facilities for complex and major international sports events.
Commencing its preparations in August last year, Infostrada Sports will make use of the following equipment next Wednesday:
36 cameras, including 4 super-slo-mo cameras, 2 extreme slo-mo camera, one spidercam (camera attached to 4 cables above the pitch), 4 remote controlled cameras (2 on rails behind both goals and 2 high up in the stadium), 2 wireless steadycams and one gyroscopic stabilised camera in a helicopter.
Three recording vans, including the OB14.
All images recording in HD quality and Dolby Surround.
80 commentary positions for radio and television.
30 kilometres of cable.
5,000 square metres of area for all television facilities.
Seven days of setting up all television facilities.
A team of 175 production staff
The full production is led by Infostrada Sports’ TV director, Danny Melger.
