Input Media, International Tennis Federation sign new five-year deal

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has retained sports specialist Input Media as its TV production partner in a new five-year deal starting in 2014. Under the new agreement, which will run until 2018, Input Media will continue to produce highlights programming for the ITF’s two prestigious team competitions: Davis Cup by BNP Paribas and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas.

This includes a highlights show after every competition weekend, plus daily shows from the Davis Cup Final, continuing with this weekend’s final between Serbia and Czech Republic in Belgrade. The highlights shows pull together Davis Cup and Fed Cup action from around the world into a ready-to-air show that is distributed to the ITF’s international broadcasters. In addition, Input Media will also produce digital content and other broadcast programming for the ITF.

The new agreement with Input Media was announced by the ITF in October and will extend Input Media’s partnership with the ITF to nearly 15 years.

Eva Butler, of the ITF, says: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Input Media. They are a first-class production partner and their tennis pedigree speaks volumes.”

The London-based sports independent has extensive tennis experience. Input Media produces the world feed and daily highlights programming from Roland Garros on behalf of the French Tennis Federation, and also co-produces ITV’s Roland Garros coverage. Input Media is also host broadcaster of the year-end WTA Championships in Istanbul.

Neil Oughton, Input Media managing director, says: “It’s a real feather in our cap to have retained this prestigious production contract with the ITF. They are one of the world’s leading sports federations. Our work with the ITF underpins our tennis portfolio.”
