ISE to become four-day show from 2016

Integrated Systems Events has announced that the 2016 instalment of the leading pro-AV and systems integration trade show will take place over four consecutive days at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam – representing an increase of one day’s duration on previous editions.

ISE managing director Mike Blackman says the decision was largely due to the event’s “rapid rise in size and prominence”.

“This move has largely been driven by the demands of our exhibitors and attendees. Quite simply, the extremely high attendance at the show, particularly on the first two days, saw increasing requests from exhibitors to have more time to spend with attendees,” said Blackman.

The move to a four-day event will see an exhibition space price review take place for 2016 exhibitor bookings. On average, an increase of 11% in costs for exhibitors’ booking floorspace is anticipated for the 2016 event. Of this figure, 5% is accountable through the provision of the extra exhibition day. The remaining 6% increase is due to the application of an annual inflation based rise – the first such increases for three years – relating to 2013-16.

“We are offering a substantial increase in value for a small increase in cost,” said Blackman.

With 1,000 exhibitors already booked into ISE 2015, attendance is confidently expected to rise above the 51,000 people that came to the 2014 edition.

“For attendees and exhibitors, we need to ensure that the show remains comfortable and secure to attend,” Blackman explained. “This announcement allows us to meet both objectives.”
