ITV readies FA Cup Final coverage

The 2013 FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic takes place tomorrow (11 May) at Wembley Stadium. Live coverage in both HD and SD starts on UK commercial broadcaster ITV at 3.15pm, with the game kicking off at 5.15pm.

This is Wigan’s first appearance in an FA Cup Final but this success is in parallel with the club struggling to avoid relegation from the Premier League as the season draws to a close. Manchester City will be looking for a sixth FA Cup win, the most recent being in 2011, to compensate for losing the Premier League champions title to local rivals Manchester United.

Adrian Chiles will front ITV’s coverage, with studio analysis from former players Roy Keane, Lee Dixon and Gareth Southgate. Commentator Clive Tyldesley is to describe the action, with expert comment from Andy Townsend.

OB facilities for the ITV broadcast will be provided by Arena Television. SVG Europe hopes to have fuller technical details next week.
