Join SVG Europe Women Virtual’s upcoming event, the Motorsports Special, which is taking place on Thursday 24 June at 10am (UK time) with speakers from Formula 1, Formula E, Extreme E, Aurora Media Worldwide and more.
This is set to be an exciting and insightful live discussion featuring some of the incredible women bringing motorsports broadcasts to life. We will be dropping the chequered flag on the production and technical roles held by women in the fast world of motorsports in an exciting discussion that will show us what goes on behind the racing scenes, and the specialist skills this genre of sport requires.
Women from a range of roles and motorsports will share their experiences, the challenges of working in this extreme world, and what it takes to bring the speed and roar of the engines to our screens.
Our speakers are Wendy Hendrickx, Formula 1, head of TV production, Lara Bishop, head of production for Formula E at Aurora Media Worldwide, Jenny James-Munoz, production manager for Extreme E at Aurora Media Worldwide, Abi Stephens, Speedway and World Rally Championship motorsport presenter, and Claire Downey, broadcast technical manager for Formula E at Aurora Media Worldwide. They will be sharing their experiences and discussing the challenges of working in this extreme world.
