K League to use the WSC Sports platform for short-form content creation

South Korea’s professional football league, the K League, is to use WSC Sports’ technology platform to automatically create and distribute short-form videos for its digital channels.

WSC develops an AI-driven video production and distribution platform that K League can use to offer fans a greater scope of video content, a more personalised experience and across more channels.

The technology will be rolled out across K League 1 and K League 2 competitions, identifying every event that occurs in the broadcast game and creating personalised video content that is immediately ready for publication.

The deal is a first for WSC in Korea. The company also works with the NBA, Bundesliga, MLS, FIBA and J League.

Doojin Sa, the head of new media at K League said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with WSC Sports. Since we have newly built up a cloud-based media centre, we will optimise the media centre to connect with the WSC Sports’ platform. We very look forward to working with WSC to create content that contributes to improving fan and supporter satisfaction in Korea and abroad.”
