Kerschbaumer increases SVG Europe editorial role as Ringrose steps back

SVG Europe is reorganising its editorial team following the decision by SVG Europe editorial director Fergal Ringrose to take a step back from frontline editorial management. He will continue as an SVG Europe contributing editor.

Ken Kerschbaumer, worldwide editorial director for the Sports Video Group (SVG), will play a more prominent role in the day-to-day management of the SVG Europe editorial team, with immediate effect. He will work closely with SVG Europe editors Heather McLean and Will Strauss.

SVG Europe continues to consolidate its position by launching a compelling programme of digital events for the coming months. Kerschbaumer will ensure that increased synergies between the US and European editorial teams deliver an unrivalled mix of news and analysis across all platforms.

Kerschbaumer said: “The role of the SVG has been to provide a vibrant hub for the sports production community during the recent months. We have found that there are no geographic boundaries to the complex challenges that everyone is facing.

“We will ensure that the evolving best practices in solving those challenges are shared across Europe, the US, and around the globe. We have a great editorial team in Europe and I’m delighted that Fergal will still be involved with us.”
