Lawo renews Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe

Lawo, which develops IP video, audio, control and monitoring solutions, has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe.

The company offers a unified approach that combines workflow management and control, physical I/O, processing, and human interfaces, creating solutions for productions including television broadcast and on-air radio, performing arts, houses of worship, and professional AV.

Its solutions are used across the globe, including by Studio Berlin which has recently completed a comprehensive modernisation of its Ü2 OB truck, integrating cutting-edge audio-over-IP (AoIP) technology from Lawo. At the heart of this upgrade is a 48-fader mc²56 MKIII console, replacing the previous mc²66 mixing desk. Additionally, A__stage units have been implemented as I/O devices, along with the mc² DSP app, providing 256 DSP channels.

In addition, Antenna Hungária’s modernised OB11 OB van now features audio and video broadcast equipment from Lawo, while broadcast control system Virtual Studio Manager (VSM) oversees overall control.

One area of focus for the company in recent years has been the development of its Home apps for IP infrastructures. These single-purpose applications run on standard servers and are available on a flexible licensing model catering to different budgets. Last year saw the release of its 10th Home app – the Downstream Keyer, offering a feature set said to be closer to what a vision mixer provides than to what operators expect from a downstream keying function of the past. Other apps include Multiviewer, Power Core and Commentary.
