Grup Mediapro produced and distributed the broadcast signal for the Legends Charity Game, making it possible for the match – featuring some of the greatest stars in world football – to be seen across Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia.
Medialuso, part of the group, acted as host broadcaster for the charity event, held on 15 September at Sporting Clube de Portugal’s Estádio José Alvalade. The line-up included legendary footballers such as Roberto Carlos, Kaká, Coentrão, Tiago, Quaresma, Figo, Del Piero, Pauleta, Puyol, and Mendieta as Portugal Legends beat a World XI side 4-1.
For the match, Medialuso deployed a crew of over 30 professionals and 12 state-of-the-art cameras, including two super slow-motion units, a Steadicam, a cinema-style camera, and a drone. This comprehensive set-up enabled Grup Mediapro to deliver a rich, dynamic production with a wide variety of high-quality images, generating the broadcast signal distributed to 13 international operators.
Medialuso provides the full range of services needed to carry out any type of audiovisual production in the countries where Grup Mediapro operates — from host broadcasting, executive production and signal distribution to audiovisual engineering. Its track record includes the production of Portugal’s professional football league and major international events such as the FIBA AmeriCup (2025), the World Aquatics Championships (2025), FIBA EuroBasket (2025), and large-scale multi-sport competitions including the Pan American and Parapan American Games in Santiago de Chile (2023) and Lima (2019).
