Live From IBC 2025: Friday’s Latest From Halls 1-4, Outdoor Exhibits in Amsterdam

The SVG Europe and SVG Americas teams are onsite in Amsterdam for IBC 2025. As the production and broadcast industry gathers to launch new products and reconnect, the SVG team is out in force in the exhibition halls of the RAI to gather and share the latest news with the SVG community. You’ll find all the key announcements and news here with daily updates through Monday. Saturday will cover Halls 5,6 and 7, Sunday will cover Halls 8,9 and 10 and Monday will cover Halls 11,12, 13, and 14.

Today’s issue includes exhibitors from Halls 1-4 and Outdoor Exhibits, including Appear, Astrodesign, Ateme, Backlight, BBright, Blackmagic Design, Bridge Technologies, Broadcast Solutions, Broadcasting Center Europe, Comcast Technology Solutions, Disguise, Eutelsat, Evertz, FOR-A, GlobalM, Haivision, Harmonic, Imagine Communications, InSync, MASV, MediaKind, Media Links, Net Insight, Open Broadcast Systems, Panasonic Connect, SES, Skyline Communications, Synamedia, TAG Video Systems, and Techex.

Hall 1

Appear (Stand 1.C61) will debut its VX Media Gateway software and X5 hardware at IBC2025. The X5 is a compact, cost-effective solution for smaller live productions, offering ultra-low latency and high-quality compression. The VX Media Gateway provides secure, scalable media processing on-prem or in the cloud, with features like advanced stream protection and SMPTE ST-2022 compatibility. New X Platform capabilities include a 100Gbps network card for high-bandwidth live production and the Appear Estate Manager (AEM) for deployment control.

Ateme (Stand 1.D55) will present efficient video delivery solutions at IBC2025, including advanced MV-HEVC and HEVC encoding for immersive live 180° and 360° experiences, demonstrated on Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro. AI-driven speech-to-speech and text translation will also be featured to enhance fan engagement. Ateme+ (a SaaS-based Master Control Room) and a new fully IP-based OTT Primary Distribution solution for global reach and scalability will be showcased, complemented by Pilot Manager orchestration.

Backlight (Stand 1.D09) will debut new capabilities across Iconik, Wildmoka, and Zype at IBC2025. Iconik Review introduces real-time synchronized media collaboration, with intelligent facial recognition and DaVinci Resolve integration. Wildmoka gains an AI-powered Vertical Content Editor for mobile-optimized clips from live streams, plus Live Studio for customizing live events and 24/7 digital channels. Zype features new AI tools for automatic transcription and translation, and a redesigned web player with picture-in-picture mode.

Bridge Technologies (Stand 1.A71) will unveil a redesigned web-based interface at IBC2025, rolling it out across the VBC, VB330, VB220, VB120, and NOMAD probe range. The new UI emphasizes intuitive navigation, visual clarity, and faster access to essential monitoring data. Enhancements include dynamic tables, aggregated thumbnail views, a vertical navigation bar, dark/light mode, and streamlined ETR290 configuration. Building on Bridge’s tradition of “making the complex simple,” the upgrade balances depth with usability, helping engineers and operators manage networks with greater efficiency and precision.

Broadcasting Center Europe (Stand 1.C16) will mark its 25th anniversary at IBC2025, showcasing innovations in system integration, media operations managed services, and its Media-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. The MaaS platform, built on cloud and sovereign architecture and enhanced with AI, offers a unified solution for storing, managing, enriching, and distributing audiovisual content. BCE provides reliable, integrated digital solutions, from IP-based integration to TV studio and OB van deployment, with 24/7 monitoring.

Comcast Technology Solutions (Stand 1.BS25) has been selected by Dubai Media as the end-to-end technology provider for Dubai Media’s next-generation video streaming platform. The deployment will power the streaming experience for Dubai Media’s full suite of channels, including Dubai TV, Dubai Sports, and others, rolling out to consumers later this year. For decades, Dubai Media has played a central role in shaping the regional media landscape, driving innovation and setting benchmarks in Arabic-language broadcasting and entertainment. This new platform reflects Dubai Media’s ongoing mission to reimagine media in the digital era, building on its legacy as a cultural, social, and bridge between Dubai and the wider Arab world. CTS’ Cloud Video Platform, part of Comcast Media360, a 24/7 managed service, will support Dubai Media’s transformative initiative to modernize Dubai’s digital media ecosystem. The service will manage the entire content lifecycle for Dubai Media —from acquisition and transformation to OTT streaming delivery, monetization, and user experience —reinforcing Dubai Media’s commitment to delivering world-class media experiences.

At IBC 2025, Eutelsat (Stand 1.A57) will highlight how satellite innovation is transforming the future of media distribution and contribution. This includes the company’s Hybrid GEO + LEO Ecosystem enabling new possibilities for live contribution, streaming and remote production; a live demo with Dejero; their work integrating live satellite transmission into the Native IP era; and their expansion in the FAST and OTT space.

Harmonic (Stand 1.B20) will showcase innovations in live sports streaming at IBC2025, enhancing fan engagement and monetization. Their VOS360 Media and Ad SaaS solution delivers geo-synced low-latency streams and interactive multiview experiences in partnership with Skreens and VisualOn. AI-driven highlight creation and robust anti-piracy features, including forensic watermarking and geo-blocking, are integrated to protect content. Harmonic will also unveil an advanced central management system for its hybrid streaming solution, simplifying operations across cloud and on-premises environments and optimizing for peak event demand.

Imagine Communications (Stand 1.B73) will launch SNP-XS at IBC2025, expanding its Selenio Network Processor (SNP) line with a compact, quiet 2RU form factor. Designed for edge deployments and space-constrained environments, SNP-XS supports SMPTE ST 2110 and ST 2022-6 IP standards while interoperating with SDI workflows, serving as a bridge for IP transitions. It delivers the same trusted capabilities as the flagship SNP, running all 16 current applications including UHD/HDR conversion and multiviewers, ensuring full compatibility and consistent deployment.

MASV (Stand 1.B01) will showcase its next-generation file movement and media workflow solutions, including the debut of MASV Express, a lightning-fast, scalable delivery platform built to eliminate bottlenecks and accelerate content distribution. Recognized as an IDC Innovator 2025, MASV enables secure, friction-free file transfers for cloud and hybrid workflows—without installs, plugins, or infrastructure complexity. Trusted by enterprise newsrooms, sports networks, and platforms like Troveo, MASV streamlines ingest, delivery, AI/ML workflows, and monetization. Expanding integrations with Frame.io, Iconik, AWS, Qumulo, and more further solidify MASV as the backbone of the global media supply chain.

Media Links (Stand 1.B32) will debut the Xscend 1RU at IBC2025, a compact, modular IP media gateway designed for space-conscious deployments. It delivers robust performance for broadcast-quality video, audio, and data over IP networks, supporting HEVC/AVC codecs and RIST/SRT protocols. Up to 64 media channels can be accommodated in the 1RU unit. Additionally, Media Links is enhancing its MDX aggregation switch line with the MDX-48X8C, featuring eight 100GbE uplink ports and 48 SFP28 ports, designed with a non-blocking architecture for multicast streams and precise timing.

At IBC 2025, MediaKind (Stand 1.D71) will demonstrate that the future of streaming is already here, showcasing cloud-first, AI-enabled solutions that help broadcasters, sports organizations, and media brands deliver richer fan experiences, scale effortlessly, and unlock new revenue. The highlight comes Friday, 12 September at 2:30pm in the IBC Showcase Theatre, where MediaKind and DAZN will present “Redefining Streaming Experiences for a Global Sports Audience”, exploring low-latency streaming, Multiview engagement, and premium security. On the stand, MediaKind will feature immersive streaming, AI-driven workflows, cloud-connected appliances, and MK.IO’s developer-friendly, cloud-native toolkits.

Net Insight (Stand 1.B47) will unveil a major evolution of its cloud-native Nimbra Edge platform at IBC2025, enhancing scalable live media contribution and remote production. The update includes support for codec/resolution conversion, bitrate control, audio shuffling, and graphical overlays. Point-to-point connectivity between Edge Connect nodes and expanded protocol support, like Zixi ZEC and enhanced SRT, will also be featured. These innovations aim to meet growing demand for flexible, IP-native contribution models, enabling efficient management of feeds and remote team collaboration, moving away from expensive satellite services.

Open Broadcast Systems (Stand 1.C37a) will be presenting a range of innovations at IBC2025. This includes extremely low latency encoding and decoding, native support for uncompressed IP formats, and its 5G Flyaway solution, which brings broadcast quality and compatibility to the world of cellular bonding. The company will demonstrate its encoders and decoders, which support high-quality, low-latency video contribution for sports, linear channels and news. With a latency as low as 60 milliseconds, these products have some of the lowest latency in the market. This is partly because all its SDI cards are built in house to minimise latency. Open Broadcast is also announcing that its decoders are being used by Asia’s linear and digital sports service, SPOTV as part of its international transition from satellite to IP workflow.

SES (Stand 1.BS10) has announced the accelerating market momentum for its SES Sports Content Orchestration Enabler (SES SCORE) platform. Since its launch in 2023, SES SCORE adoption has grown rapidly with an expanding customer base of over 200 broadcasters onboarded and premium sports properties making it their platform of choice for content delivery. The platform has now surpassed 600,000 transmission hours of feeds delivered to broadcasters worldwide, which equals to an average of 900 hours of sports content daily. As a unique solution in the market, the National Football League (NFL) and global partners such as ATP Media among many other world-renowned sports organization use SES SCORE’s competitive advantage to deliver their sports content.

At IBC 2025, Skyline Communications (Stand 1.B40) will highlight its MediaOps solution, built on the open-architecture DataMiner xOps platform. Already deployed by global streaming services and broadcasters, MediaOps unifies media workflows with ICT best practices across legacy and IP, on-premises and cloud. It delivers detailed asset inventory, planning, scheduling, deployment, live operations, and post-service optimization. MediaOps.PLAN supports resource allocation and cost management, while MediaOps.LIVE enables automated orchestration and monitoring across domains. Fully open and extensible, MediaOps integrates with major industry platforms, offering media organizations agility, efficiency, and continuous evolution.

Synamedia (Stand 1.B49) will unveil AI-driven innovations redefining streaming, advertising, service operations, and user experience. Highlights will include enhancements to Synamedia Go, Quortex Play, and the European debut of Quortex Switch. Demos will feature AI-powered personalization, natural language search, dynamic ad insertion, forensic watermarking with ContentArmor, and workflow automation via Large Language Models.

TAG Video Systems (Stand 1.C31) will showcase enhanced next-gen IP workflow monitoring at IBC2025 with its 100% software-based Realtime Media Platform. The platform features advanced QC tools like Waveform scopes and HDR test patterns, and intuitive layout control via TAG’s Operator Console. New Operator Console functions include Channel Solo for audio and full video playback for real-time troubleshooting. Tag will also demonstrate integrations with partners such as Witbe and Nevion, highlighting its commitment to openness and interoperability for efficient, high-quality media operations at scale.

Hall 2

Astrodesign (Stand 2.C54) will introduce the IP-4042 real-time ROI (Region of Interest) extractor at IBC2025, which can convert a single 8K or 4K camera feed into up to four independent Full HD outputs. These regions can be dynamically positioned and resized, effectively simulating a four-camera setup. Also new is the AB-4838 / AC-4837 camera, featuring an 8192×8192-pixel image sensor, ideal for immersive VR content and high-frame-rate capture of fast-moving subjects.

BBright (Stand 2.B51) will feature its next-generation BBright IP Gateway at IBC2025, capable of supporting up to 120 simultaneous feeds with extensive monitoring tools. The company will also emphasize its advanced ST 2110 interoperability, including full support for 2110-41 (metadata transport) and 2110-43 (TTML subtitles), essential for both OTT and traditional broadcast workflows. Additionally, the latest BBright Contribution Decoder, with new monitoring features, and the BBright Contribution Encoder will be on display, built on over 12 years of broadcast expertise.

Evertz (Stand  2.A47) will introduce Studer Vista in Vue at IBC2025, combining Studer Vista console processing with the Evertz Vue interface for modern, distributed workflows. This allows multiple Vue touch panels to control one Vista system over a network, enabling collaborative remote mixing. Bravo-Waveboard fader panels will also debut for tactile control. Furthermore, the FRCX-2000 frame rate conversion platform will be showcased, offering motion-compensated conversion between 50Hz and 59.94Hz regions with support for SDI, ST 2110, and compressed formats.

FOR-A (Stand 2.B53) will introduce “viztrick AiDi” at IBC2025, an on-device AI solution for sports broadcasting that operates without internet connectivity. It provides real-time video analysis, including player tracking that allows operators to draw on screen while following subjects. The system also quantifies speed, analyzes distance and angles, and uses facial recognition for player profiles. viztrick AiDi can automatically input scores from scoreboards, with all high-precision video analysis processed locally on a single PC, ensuring reliability for remote productions.

Haivision (Stand 2.B32) will present its latest live video contribution innovations at IBC2025, targeting remote and field production for sports and news. The Haivision Pro transmitters and new Haivision Falkon X2 compact mobile transmitter will be featured, delivering ultra-low latency, broadcast-quality 4K UHD and HD over bonded 5G, 4G, and IP networks. Updates to the Makito X4 video encoders and decoders for studio productions will also be highlighted. Demonstrations will illustrate how bonded cellular and private 5G networks power mobile live video with tools like the MoJoPro smartphone camera app.

InSync (Stand 2.C30) will showcase its latest video conversion technologies at IBC2025 for high-quality global sports content. A new openGear frame rate conversion module, already used by a major European football league, will be highlighted. A new card with ST 2110 for full uncompressed IP and SDI conversion will launch at the event, offering motion-compensated frame rate conversion, HDR, and deinterlacing, achieving 10 HD channels in 2RU. The MCC-UHD converter, supporting single channel UHD or dual channel HD with an improved deinterlacer algorithm, will also be featured.

At IBC 2025, Panasonic Connect (Stand 2.G102) is unveiling two major innovations for live production. The AK-UBX100 4K box-style camera delivers unmatched versatility with lightweight design, robust IP connectivity, and seamless integration with Panasonic’s UCX100 and PTZ ecosystems. Alongside it, Panasonic introduces the industry’s first auto-focus for 4K studio cameras, debuting on the UCX100 in December 2025 and expanding to the UBX100 in 2026. Also on display, the AW-RP200GJ remote camera controller adds macro functionality, dual joysticks, and support for up to 200 PTZ cameras, empowering operators to manage complex, multi-camera productions with speed, precision, and efficiency.

Techex (Stand 2.C46)will showcase major updates to its tx darwin media processing framework and debut new tx edge features at IBC 2025. tx darwin now includes more than 60 production modules, with recent additions such as premium MPEG-4 AVC and JPEG XS codecs, motion-compensated standards conversion with InSync, tx darwin Blueprints for repeatable workflow design, and dynamic HTML5 graphics with watermarking. Enhancements to tx edge introduce SRT-protected JPEG XS TR-07, optimized performance, and secure Trust Boundary functions. Collaborations with TAG Video Systems, Nevion, Bridge Technologies, AWS, and Google Cloud extend its ecosystem.

Hall 3

Blackmagic Design (Stand 3.A51) has announced DaVinci Resolve 20.2 and Blackmagic Camera 9.8 public beta which add support for Apple ProRes RAW, including footage captured with the new iPhone 17 Pro, and ProRes RAW HQ file formats. In addition, future updates for Blackmagic Camera and Blackmagic Video Assist 12G will also add both ProRes RAW file formats. DaVinci Resolve 20.2 and Blackmagic Camera 9.8 public beta are available now free of charge from the Blackmagic Design website.

Disguise (Stand 3.B61) will return to IBC2025 with a strong presence across multiple stands, highlighting new hardware, software, and services shaping the future of broadcast, live events, and virtual production. Partnering with INFiLED, ROE Visual, MRMC, RED, and Adder, Disguise will demonstrate workflows powered by VX and X servers, including the portable X1 solution. Daily live sessions titled Broadcast Reimagined will showcase immersive fan experiences. Demonstrations across partner booths will emphasize LED integration, real-time rendering, and flexible workflows, reinforcing Disguise’s role in redefining visual storytelling.

GlobalM (Stand 3.C36) will showcase upgrades to simplify live video contribution and distribution at IBC2025, emphasizing its software-defined video network (SDVN) for live IP video over various networks including 5G and cloud. A key debut is GMDC (GlobalM Device Control), an API enabling port-to-port codec orchestration between the GlobalM platform and edge hardware. A live demo will show remote control of encoding/decoding sessions via Matrox Monarch Edge. This transforms GlobalM into a full-stack orchestration platform, combining cloud control with real-time media routing and device-level management.

Outdoor Exhibits

Broadcast Solutions (Stand O.A23) will present its systems integration capabilities in Amsterdam. Highlights include the Streamline S12 outside broadcast trailer for Swiss company Brutal Güet, designed for HDR and Ultra HD, and modular solutions for both mobile and fixed facilities, such as Denmark’s Matchday hub. Products on show include hi human interface, meshTECH, and specialist camera systems. Broadcast Solutions will also host Birds Camera Solutions, Thum + Mahr, and TVC.

At IBC 2025, Eutelsat (Stand O.A24) will highlight how satellite innovation is transforming the future of media distribution and contribution. This includes the company’s Hybrid GEO + LEO Ecosystem enabling new possibilities for live contribution, streaming and remote production; a live demo with Dejero; their work integrating live satellite transmission into the Native IP era; and their expansion in the FAST and OTT space.
