Live From PyeongChang: Inside Eurosport’s mobile digital studio

The PyeongChang Winter Olympics have been a boon for social media content acquisition and distribution. A premium example of that is a Mobile Digital Studio being deployed here by Eurosport.

When the broadcaster picked up the rights to the Games for 48 countries across Europe, the goal was to be more digital and social-focuses than any networks before.

In this studio, Eurosport is shooting social-exclusive content including Facebook Live shows that are being shot with iPhones and pushed out directly over native cellular and venue WiFi.

We got a quick tour of the facility from David Schafer, senior vice president, Olympic operations and planning for Discovery Communications.
