Sportel Monaco: Globecast assists with delivery of content globally for clients
Globecast is at Sportel to help content owners work out how to deliver their programming globally.
Sportel is important for Globecast as it gives the company an opportunity to talk to content providers. Said Catherine Emmett, account manager at Globecast: “We do all the distribution for ATP. People like ATP, broadcasters with structure, want distribution done [for their content].
“But we have other people coming up to use saying, ‘we’ve got X content, how do we get it out there?’ There are those tier one, 4K, massive satellite [use of] capacity and bandwidth [clients], but we’ve also seen a lot of internet delivery coming up in requests and discussions.”
She continued: “We find Sportel helpful, networking with our clients. It’s really useful to be able to meet all our clients, and in our daily business we don’t tend to meet up with or come across content providers. So we can talk to them about trends and what they’re finding.”
At IBC in September Globecast announced that it is continuing to expand its TV Everywhere OTT video platform via the integration of additional server-side dynamic ad insertion (SSDAI) capabilities, partnering with Ad Insertion Platform (AIP) in Europe.
